Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Founder of Brick Road Counseling

Education

Bachelor of Arts-Sonoma State University 2006

Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology-Saint Mary's College of California 2011

My work in behavioral psychology began in 2001 and solidified while pursuing my Master’s degree, during which I worked as a Behavior Consultant to children with various developmental disorders.  Shepherding parents through the devastation of diagnosis for their children and guiding them back to a place of hope caused me to quickly fall in love with the field.  An untiring desire to help parents formed the core of my professional aspirations; this ethos shapes every aspect of Brick Road Counseling’s practice today.

At the end of my graduate studies, I practiced as a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern at Hearts and Hands Counseling in Roseville working with a variety of individuals of all ages and backgrounds.  After completing 3,000 hours of face-to-face client sessions, I became licensed with the Board of Behavioral Sciences.  I have extensive experience in counseling individuals, couples, and children with a wide range of issues.

My specialty is treating with clients who have or are experiencing trauma, child behavior issues, marital issues, postpartum depression, and parenting.  I recognize that all people need a nonjudgmental person to share their story with—as a therapist, I always provide an open mind and heart.  In our session together, I will provide a safe place to work on personal and parenting goals as a team.

I begin my work within a relational and family systems framework, and use behavioral as well as DBT therapy modalities for treatment planning.

Let's Talk

The first step in therapy is talking. Let's find a time where we can meet and talk about what's on your mind.
